Gone with the Net!

"The Net giveth, the Net taketh away!"

Making a relationship on the net is just like spitting in the wind. I mean all you do is build something on sand and then hope it'll stand for a while. Yet many people still hold on and work their guts out to find the real thing through the net.
If you take a look around the meeting rooms you'll be astonished by the number of lonely hearts who hang about there trying to find their match. Some have already given up trying and yet still stick around.

Now what is it that's so appealing in the net to make all these loners spend hours and hours before their screens, never blinking and still hoping?

The answer is ADDICTION. Yes, these people get addicted to the net just as others get addicted to cigarettes, alcohol or any other type of soft and hard drugs. They get connected just as a chain smoker would leave his house in the middle of the night to go look for a tobacconist so as to get his cigarettes or like a drug addict would go looking for his dealer and get his dose. The only difference is that you don't get satiated on the net. I mean there's no dose of internet connection that would satisfy you. You may stay connected all night till early morning and yet still have plenty to do and plenty of people to chat with. Unless your eyes really ache you just don't realise you're spending way too long before your screen.
